From your needs to the right solution
Pallet and packaging solutions for businesses
GLF helps businesses choose load carriers and wood-based packaging according to the goods, dimensions, load, handling and destination. Start with a solution category or contact us when several requirements need to be combined. Packaging can provide a load-bearing base, enclosing protection and internal support for the goods. Compare the product options below according to the functions your goods need.

Explore the range
Choose a solution according to what the goods need
Each option leads to a specific product family or a relevant solution area. The complete list of individual items is available in the product catalogue.
Carry and handle the goods
Start with the recipient’s pallet requirements. Then compare EUR pallets, one-way pallets, full-size pallets and half pallets by dimensions, construction and handling.
Add sides and choose a lid
Compare pallet collars for the required height and lids in wood, plywood and chipboard. Confirm the dimensions, fit and how the complete unit will be handled.
Adapt support and protection
- Base pallet with extensions to compare an extended support surface.
- Custom-made special pallet for a different geometry, fixing method or combination of materials.
- Special box or wooden crate when sides and enclosing protection also need to be assessed.
Support goods during handling
Compare stillages according to the shape of the goods, support points and access. See A-frames for window and automotive glass and L-stillages; the design is assessed for the goods concerned.
Choose used products and reuse
Find used options and read about collection, sorting and reuse.
Choose timber and components
Compare wood products and board dimensions for packaging and industrial needs.
Information for the right choice
Four questions that make guidance easier
What needs to be carried or protected?
Describe the dimensions, shape and sensitivity of the goods and how they need to be held in place.
What load is involved?
Specify the weight of the goods and how the load is distributed. State whether the weight also includes the pallet, collars, lid or other packaging. Describe the parts and quantities if the complete loaded unit is to be assessed. Tare weight and load capacity are different specifications.
How will the solution be handled?
Tell us about warehouse equipment, lifting, stacking, return flows and repeated use.
Where are the goods going?
The destination and transport flow determine which markings, treatments and export requirements need to be checked.
More than a product
Support for your packaging flow
When a standard item is not enough, the next step may be customisation, export guidance or a solution for collection and reuse.
Customised solutions
Start with the goods, dimensions, materials and handling when a solution needs to be adapted.
Export and ISPM 15
Understand when the treatment and marking of wood packaging need to be checked before international transport.

Environment and quality
Consider the whole picture behind material choices
Choosing the right packaging also involves quality, materials, treatment and how the product is used over time. Read how GLF describes its work and which questions need to be checked for your flow.
