GLF plans to increase warehouse capacity in Genarp by approximately 20%

GLF has started the process of acquiring the 1,867-square-metre plot at Kontoristgatan 2, directly next to the company’s site at Kontoristgatan 4. The transaction is not yet complete. GLF plans to use the plot to increase warehouse capacity in Genarp by approximately 20%.

The plot next to GLF’s existing site

The plot at Kontoristgatan 2 is directly adjacent to GLF’s existing site at Kontoristgatan 4. This allows the additional area to be incorporated into the current operation in Genarp.

The 1,867-square-metre plot was previously owned by Anders Malm. GLF plans to use it as an extension of the existing warehouse area.

How the additional area will be used

GLF handles pallets, timber and packaged materials every day. The additional area is planned for storage and for the handling and movement of these materials.

Detailed site planning will determine the layout and how the new area connects with the existing warehouse.

Approximately 20% more warehouse capacity

The planned expansion will increase warehouse capacity by approximately 20%. The extra space will provide more room for inventory, material handling and changes in storage needs over time.

The adjacent location keeps the additional capacity close to the current warehouse and existing material flows.

A connected warehouse area in Genarp

The larger warehouse area can use the infrastructure, equipment and working routines already in place at Kontoristgatan 4.

Combining the two areas will make storage and movement easier to organise and keep warehouse activities together at the Genarp site.

Next steps

The acquisition and site-planning work will continue. The next phase will define the layout, access routes and practical use of the additional area.
