GLF is the short name for GLF Pallet Group, a group of companies manufacturing pallets, load carriers and wooden packaging. The group has seven production units across six locations in Sweden and Poland.

We manufacture nearly half a million pallets for customers in sectors including plastics, food, building materials and agricultural technology. Most of our packaging is manufactured for export. We take back and sell more pallets than we manufacture.

We collect used wooden pallets, sort them and repair those that can be used again. This keeps usable pallets in circulation.

Make use of what remains.

Shavings and sawdust from woodworking are sold for heat production. Wooden pallets that have reached the end of their useful life can also go to energy recovery.

Heating and cooling with groundwater

One example of our environmental work is groundwater-based heating and cooling. Water is drawn from a depth of 45 metres and pumped to a depth of 85 metres. The same water cools the premises in summer and heats them in winter. The system does not use Freon refrigerants.

ISPM 15

IPPC mark for wooden packaging.

ISPM 15 aims to reduce the risk of plant pests spreading through wooden packaging in international trade. For exports, the destination country may require wooden packaging that has been treated and marked in accordance with ISPM 15. Please specify the destination and material requirements when you contact us.

What GLF expects from its suppliers

GLF’s Supplier Code of Conduct sets out requirements and aspirations for responsible business throughout the supply chain. It covers people, business conduct and the environment. The summary below accompanies the full English code.

People and working conditions
The code requires respect for human rights, equal treatment and pay, lawful wages and working hours, freedom of association, and safe working conditions. It prohibits discrimination, harassment, child labour, forced labour and human trafficking. It also addresses the rights of local communities and the use of security forces. See pages 4–5.
Responsible business
Suppliers must conduct business fairly, maintain accurate financial records, prevent corruption, respect fair competition, disclose conflicts of interest and comply with applicable export controls and sanctions. The code also covers information security, personal data, intellectual property, confidentiality and information requested by GLF. See pages 7–8.
Climate, materials and environmental protection
The code requires compliance with applicable environmental laws and addresses greenhouse-gas emissions, responsible sourcing, waste and air quality. It encourages suppliers to measure and reduce emissions, improve energy efficiency, increase renewable energy, support circularity, manage water use and assess biodiversity impacts. These expectations are not evidence of a particular product’s footprint or certification. See pages 10–12.
Forest raw materials
Suppliers must ensure that forest raw materials do not contribute to deforestation or degradation of forests, land and soil, and that their source forests are managed sustainably. The code says these materials should be PEFC- or FSC-certified and/or FLEGT-licensed; otherwise suppliers should provide information demonstrating equivalent quality and characteristics on request. This supplier expectation does not certify every GLF product. See page 11.
Follow-up and improvement
GLF reserves the right to verify compliance before agreements and to conduct audits during a contract. Suppliers must investigate identified non-compliance, inform GLF immediately and cooperate in resolving it. The code also encourages a reporting process without retaliation and passing similar expectations to upstream suppliers. See page 13.
