We need to transport and store vegetables...
W. Hedlund & Co started the production of vegetable crates in Genarp.
GLF is a company that manufactures and trades load carriers, wooden packaging, and packaging accessories, as well as recycles load carriers and wooden packaging.
Business Concept
GLF’s ambition is to meet the European market’s demand for load carriers, both new and used, of the right quality, while also serving the local market with wooden packaging.
Market
GLF operates across Europe, with production facilities in multiple locations. We sell to countries including Norway, Denmark, Poland, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary.
The GLF Group currently consists of seven production units that collectively drive manufacturing and trade across Europe.

GLF Träab AB, Sävsjöström.
GLF Polska Sp. Zoo, Poland – Established a wholly-owned subsidiary in September 2005.
GLF Polska Mielec Sp. z.o.o, Poland – Established a wholly-owned subsidiary in November 2012.
MW Property Sp. Zoo – A wholly-owned subsidiary since September 2017, owning two industrial properties in Slupsk and Mielec. The first property was acquired in Mielec in the fall of 2017, and the second in Slupsk in February 2020.
A new production unit was launched in Koszalin in 2021, followed by another in Czermin in 2022.
As of 2024, these seven units collectively employ approximately 200 people.
It all began in 1938 when W. Hedlund & Co. founded what would later become Aktiebolag Genarps Lådfabrik. At that time, the company produced vegetable crates for local growers.
We still manufacture crates for vegetables and fruit, but today, our main focus is on the production and recycling of over one million pallets per year.
Another key part of our business is the production of plywood and particleboard boxes. Our product range also includes wooden racks, pallet collars, and custom pallets.
We also supply wooden store furnishings, as well as gift packaging and wood wool for wine boxes and turkey nests – all made from natural wood, of course. Malte Persson and his wife Anna’s vision for how they wanted to run the company lives on today.
For us and our employees, the most important people are our customers. Our top priority is to deliver exactly what you need – preferably in a better or smarter way than you expected. Delivering on time, at the right price, and with the right quality is a given.
GLF IN THE WORLD
To offer our customers pricing that ensures cost-efficient transport, we realized that we couldn’t be based solely in Genarp. We needed to get closer to our customers.
We started with a warehouse in Helsingborg, and today, we operate in six locations, three of which are in Poland. Through strategically placed warehouses, we help our customers maintain the same high quality of load carriers, regardless of the country of manufacture.
As companies expand and establish new operations across the continent, we can deliver throughout Europe. Our pallets are now not only present in Sweden but also sold to Denmark, Poland, Italy, Norway, Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands.
